Fostering connection through the imagination, yoga-play and free-form dancing
Suggested age for the children to join is 0 – 7 years, however all ages ARE welcome.
Playful dancing with your family/ your loved ones from experienced yoga teacher and dancing freedom facilitator Sophie.

This review from a parent gives an idea of what you are coming to. (Understood that this is dependent on how you are, how your children are in each moment!)

“Hi Sophie, thanks so much for today. I could’ve easily cried with happiness when we shared how we all found the workshop! It’s not often that all 4 of us can do something family orientated on a weekend because of my husband’s shifts. We all shared wonderful moments with our girls and could give each of them some 1:1 time too. My eldest has a highly sensitive personality & you gently enabled her to push herself out of her comfort zone (including loud music) with your enthusiasm & warmth. I could tell you were aware of her reactions & responded sensitively. It really helped her that we were the 1st 1s there so she could engage with you & the space. My youngest was delighted with you & with the workshop & loved playing with everyone too! We all loved the playful dancing as well as the relaxation elements & the whole morning was paced really well. It suited all ages, which was wonderful & really inclusive. We’ll definitely be back in July! Thank you so much for inspiring new ways for us to reconnect as a family & 1:1.” Tamsin – Frome

Whilst dancing at one of Sophie's sessions, I explained to a friend that it felt like being enveloped in silk and carried up. I felt my spirit lift and I was able to immerse myself in my dance and my intention. All in all, I felt deep joy, a natural ecstasy, that comes to me through well-thought out sequences of music, with intuitive sense of rhythm, dynamics, subtle lyrics and a deep, deep sense of heart, light-heartedness, not of the frivolous kind, but of the floating, soaring, mystical kind, and a real sense at the end of grounded-ness, of having journeyed well and come to a natural conclusion.

Sophie Bolton worked for us in the capacity of children's guide, and leprachaun!, at a birthday party organised for an individual of high net worth. This event ran across a four day duration and it was the client's request that we have a character actor befriend and entertain the children for the duration.  It was a very difficult role and of the utmost importance to the success of our event.  Sophie was exceptional. She created a truly believable and lovable character. Her rapport with the children was instantaneous. The parents were immediately comfortable that their children were is good hands. Sophie was in demand from the moment the clients arrived to the moment that they left.  So successful was her performance that we had to turn down the clients requests, on a number of occasions, or she would have been working from 8am to 9pm without a break! The children simply loved her.  Sophie was a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate in recommending her to any event organiser, casting director or other employer; she is creative, talented, reliable and just lovely to have around. I look forward very much to working with her again in the near future.

Despite a surfeit of yoga teachers, finding one that fires up your desire to do yoga, and who's classes you really love and look forward to, is harder than finding the proverbial needle in a haystack. But Sophie is that elusive needle - a really excellent teacher who makes you never want to miss one of her classes. I can't recommend her enough.

Jenny Ransom - Massage Therapist

Sophie has a lovely warm and nurturing teaching style. I really love how she brings in snippets of etheric info into the classes; I find it really helps to bring a bit of magic into the work that we do. Classes are well thought out and with each week Sophie gently builds on the complexity of the poses. After her classes I always feel more grounded and centred. I think most of all though, I enjoy the sense of connection I have with my body after a class with Sophie.

I had an incredible Hatha session yesterday with Sophie. Sophie has a lovely ability to guide you through any particular sequence. Her simple trigger-words and -phrases instantly and sensitively created a easy-to-understand visualisation within my mind's eye. With my eyes closed and focussed on breathing, this makes all the difference without having to glance up. I can honestly say in roughly five years of on-again, off-again yoga practice, I learnt some new, simple but very effective pointers that helped me to achieve lovely 'unforced' movements, serenity and overall beautiful vibe! It's clear that Sophie creates a beautiful, supportive and fun environment for this to occur. Thanks so much Sophie. See you again!

Being in a dance session with Sophie is a great privilege. She exudes fun, presence, joy and huge amounts of charisma. Her skills as a DJ really make the session as well as her joyful personality. Sophie really has a gift! I would really recommend Sophie and Dancing Freedom for anyone who loves to move.

Nura Aabe - Mum

Before Zak started Yoga, he used to be very anxious, not able to focus and found it difficult to control his behaviour. I feel because of yoga Zak is much more relaxed, happier and more focused. Seeing him in Yoga, was a dream come through. I have never seen Zak so much and relax. I don't think I will ever stop his sessions, he is a completely different child now. Zak comes home after his session so relaxed and he so looks forward to Mondays because of Yoga.

Yogatails on offer for Children’s parties and festivals

Exceedingly entertaining birthday parties and events for 4 – 7 year olds.

Lucy and Sophie have collaborated to bring yoga, dance and drama to children through adventures stories and on the spot fun! Sessions last for one hour and give time for the imagination to run free expressed through the body, promoting body awareness and creative thinking.

The stories come in a number of different themes, some based on myths and fairytales. Funky World children’s tunes are used to bring the stories more to life and are impossible not to find infectious! Parent and carers are always encouraged to join in – remember you’re not yet an embarrassment – you can be the big kid too!
